Out & About

Being Gabe, he's a happy cheerful lil guy, even when he's crying, he can smile n laugh. And lately, as he begins to understand more, he knows "kai kai", "walk walk" & "push push"...all associated with going out. And he just lights up each time we strap him to the carrier especially. As we walk, he'll yell loudly in happy tunes and keeps smiling non stop. This is the upside to Down Syndrome kids. They're especially cheerful..and for that I am very grateful.

Lately we've just been going out alot as he has started Gymboree classes every Friday and after class we take long walks around the area to eat or drink. And we also go to malls alot to pass time on weekdays. Weekends Daddy will find time to take us out for nice dinners. So yes he's been really happy lately.

Some pics of him taken during the week, some at Gymboree after class and some during the outings...

Gymboree: post class, playing at the reception area

he has this fixation with plucking anything "hair-like" eg actual hair, grass, etc. Here he is plucking at the carpet

Here he is with Daddy , being entertained while waiting for Mummy to finish eating

Ohh coz it's very sunny nowadays, i got him a cap from H&M, cute huh?

Yesterday we went out with Uncle Sako coz it was his birthday so we treated him to a steak dinner. This was us waiting for about 1 hour to get a table

And here's the horrifying 2 times a day meal Mummy n Gabe has to go through. I'm not sure who's more upset, me or Gabe...

For the first few tablespoons, OK, still got smiles:

Then, Chucky starts to appear. There are tears, tantrums n fights:

The "I'll just store the food in my mouth, then maybe Mummy will give up" plot

The can still smile through tears look coz Mummy said sumthin funny

And finally, just being the cute n happy boy he is
