Disneyland Fun

It's a totally Happy Day for us today. We stayed over at Disneyland Hotel in an Alice in Wonderland room..yah expensive but so so worth it. It was a double celebration trip for Gabe & I, so we decided to burn a medium sized hole in Daddy's pocket. Aiyah, once only wot....

So we got up as usual on Monday and packed, then headed off by 9.30am. Mummy was practically grinning from ear to ear, bouncing about excitedly. Reached the resort at about 11am and tried to check in but the room wasn't ready so we were told to leave our bags and come back at 3pm. So, not wasting any time, we bought our park tickets n went into Disneyland. What i like about weekdays is that you don't have to walk through tons of bodies and queue like mad to eat or buy things. But, even on a Monday, there were quite alot of people.

The feeling you get once there, it's like a fairytale..so colorful, vibrant and unbelievable. I'm a sucker for Disneyland...Hubby said we should eat first since it was 11.30 already, so we ended up queuing for 20mins at the Crystal Palace restaurant where we had buffet. Food was Ok only..Gabe had his bread and pasta too. After lunch with our tummies full, we started our exploration, first at the Cinderella Castle...The queue...20mins..sigh...but since that was one of the major attractions and i knew we wouldn't be covering much, yup, we lined up...all i can say is that it was worth it...so magical..umm, Gabe missed it coz he fell asleep.

Next stop, It's a Small world, coz i saw the words "boat" on the map and it didn't say babies weren't allowed...had to queue for 15mins, not too bad, it wasn't hot, just perfect...once inside, i was super excited...looked like fun...Gabe was awake by then, so he caught the action too, and was so happy in the boat, looking at all the lights and dolls moving...this ride was so worth it, all the dolls and details were so colorful and nice...

Next, we walked around abit, got some drinks and when we checked the time, it was already 3pm, so we decided to head to the hotel to check in first then head back out in the evening for the Parade...covered only 2 places and already tired...

The room...oh,the room...simply beautiful..the bed, so so comfy, pillow so nice to sleep...dreamland...Gabe liked the bed too, coz once i put him down his fingers kept scratching the bedsheets and he was already rolling around. It's an Alice in Wonderland room, coz the theme was..yes, that...the wallpapers were characters from the story, there was a picture frame too...i think i want my bedroom to resemble something like that next time..Hubby said OK.

Gabe refused to sleep coz he had his nap earlier, so he just rolled around and played with his Winnie the Pooh handphone we got him earlier. He did fall asleep at 5.30pm before we headed out again.

Dinner we decided on ramen at China Voyager. Not bad actually. Gabe ate his mIckey donuts which he loves. We managed to catch the night parade in time...wow, it was really really good..Gabe was so noisy shouting away and moving around while Terry carried him in the carrier...excited i guess...

Since he wasn't tired, we figured we could go for the Jungle cruise ride which turned out to be nice and relaxing. That was our last ride for the trip...Gabe couldn't go on any others anyway...so we stopped by for Mickey shaped waffles (yummy)..and headed back to the hotel to sleep. Unfortuntely the rascal had too much fun he kept waking up at night, tossing n turning..think he was over active earlier, so next time i'll need to be smarter...

It was so sad the next morning...we had to say goodbye to the lovely room...i dun tink Terry will agree to stay there again..sighhhhh....

But it was a good outing, Thank You hubby, you are wonderful indeed. A loving Husband & Father...we love you so much for loving us so so much.

P/S: Grandpa & Grandma, you wan go Disneyland???????

  3. Baby Gabe, it's your very first birthday! Happy Happy Birthday to you, with a big cuddle and kiss from Gu Por! Wow, great that you got to celebrate at Disneyland, although Gu Por suspects that your mom enjoyed it more than you, and that for you, to go 'gai gai' is good enough, any place will do, eh?
