Dear Daddy, I Got a Haircut

Dear Daddy,

I went for a haircut today at Takashimaya Times Square, so since it's in a hoity toity place, the price understandably is a wee bit on the high side. Nonetheless, since I am your only child, i should think you wouldn't mind spending abit of money on me. If i look good, it reflects on you too, right?

I was generally well behaved and didn't cry much. I just kept turning here n there to make things harder for the lady who cut my hair. Anyway, i heard them all saying i am "kawaii"....ehheheh, unfortunately they didn;t give me any discount.

After that, I was hungry so we went next door to have hoity toity lunch. Thereafter, we saw GAP KIDS right in front of us, and there was a sale...umm...so i coerced Mummy unto going in to do retail therapy since i already had physical therapy in the morning. One more therapy wouldn't do any harm.

In the end, I spent abit more of your money. But i heard Mummy mumbling while taking the clothes, "it's on discount...wahhh save 50%, good buy......Daddy taught us to be money savvy...we save alot money buy on discount..blah blah"....so in the end, I got a very very nice grey thick jumper, a woolen pants and an adorable lil winter cap. Let's not talk about the price. After all, winter is coming, I am sure you don;t want me to catch a cold right? And again...I AM YOUR ONLY CHILD....precious right?

So i think it was a very good day overall, and I am happy....I hope you had a happy day too at work...

Fun at Daycare

Gabe has adjusted well to daycare on Tuesdays. He eats his food and enjoys himself. I reached early to fetch him and they let me take a peek at their "Good Bye" routine, which is dancing to music and singing time.

Yup, he has his own special chair which we got him coz at that time he couldn't sit unsupported, so the normal chairs weren't suitable...

Peek-A-Boo Part2

Alrighty....Gabe started off with the peek a boo using his shirts...now, he has progressed to doing it using his hands..and he does it like 100 times a day...anywhere..anytime. Randomly..

Gabe Rolls Overboard

We took another short trip on the weekend, this time to Osaka. Coz Terry needed to pick up a car. So we went to Osaka via Shinkansen....but we forgot that it was a holiday in Japan, so extra crowded and we didn't get reserved seat tickets. Ended up standing for about 45mins. Until a very very helpful, kind and generous mom offered me her daughter's seat. They ended up sharing a seat...it was the nicest gesture ever. I'm not sure how many people would be willing to do that, myself included, especially when you paid for the seat..

The journey took 2.5hours and by the time we reached and got the car, it was 4pm already so not much time to go anywhere. We went to the hotel to check in and then headed off to Namba Parks mall to have dinner and walk awhile. Beautiful mall. We were pretty tired and headed to the hotel..now this hotel is called Toyoko-inn. And i have to say, it was one of the worst stays EVER!!! Awhile after we slept, the aircon suddenly stopped...we thought it konked out...but the power light was still on...so we tried pressing some buttons etc...then after like half hour stopped again...i could not sleep at all and had to kick Terry to ask him to do something...then realised the damned aircon stops when it reaches like the desired temp...but it doesn;t come back on for like 10mins and by then it's hot!!! This happened every half hour or so and i was about to go crazy. I slept only at 3am and even then not well..Urgghh so pissed. Bad luck.

And the double bed was a bit small, so abit crampy with Gabe's feet in my face. So scared he would kick my nose....

Anyways, next morning poor Gabe got hurt..sigh....i was in the bathroom and Terry was looking after him. Next thing i knew, i was coming out and heard Gabe cry..saw that Terry was holding him...and somehow knew he had fallen off the bed...poor Gabe had a bad bruise on his lower right eye..he fell face first. He cried hard for about 2 minutes and then was OK. Thank goodness. Poor Terry had such a fright. See, that's what you get for not watching closely.

Ahahah, Gabe was KING for the whole day, with Terr apologising many times to him..and even let Gabe tear tissues and throw them onto the floor.

We left Osaka after brekkie and headed off to Himeji to go to this safari. About 90km away. At the safari, you drive your car past these gates that have different sections , home to lions, cheetas, tigers, deers etc. And after that you can park and sit the cable car down to the petting area where you get up close to tamer animals like kangaroos, monkeys, birds. Quite a fun experience.

Yup, fun it was though my heels weren't so right for the outing...we finished the safari and headed off to Kyoto so that our journey back to Tokyo next day wouldn't be too stressful with such a long distance to cover. This time, umm..we stayed at Toyoko-Inn...AGAIN....but this round, we got a deluxe double room with 2 double beds!! And it had a nice sofa area....pure bliss!! Aircon working remarkably well...slept like a baby, even Gabe slept so well, he woke up at 6am only to drink milk...yay!!!

Our friend still not scared..can roll here n there, see the sofa there? The paranoid father put it there to prevent any further damage..

Well rested, we were off back to Tokyo. But managed to stop by for yummy yummy Unagi rice...super tasty n one of my faves..Gabe mucking around...

Ok, today is one of those days you wish you'd not gone through...no, no, it's nothing tragic or sad....urghhh wait.. you'll find out.

I was preparing Gabe to go out and had just finished changing his soiled diaper. Then i let him play on his mat while i went to the bathroom to comb my hair. It was just like 1 minute....

Then, i went back to the living room..i didn't have my contacts or glasses on, so well, couldn't see clearly from far..but i noticed he was playing with "something" quite happily, holding both hands up and shaking them...then...i smelt IT!!! i was tinking, damned he pooped again...but as i got real close, argghhhhhhhhhhhh....that's when i actually looked at his hands...

He had a small ball of his POOP in the left hand...and the right had small remnants...and the boy was smiling and shaking his hands!! I screamed, really screamed 'GABRIEL"!!!...n i tink i scared him n he started to cry...i couldn't care much, i just moved forward and shook his hand so that the ball of poop dropped out....

And his legs..n feet all smeared with poop...then i stared at his mouth..THANK GOD there was no trace of poop eating..i dunno what i would do if i saw poop in his mouth...urghh....n i just kept scolding him..."Silly, silly, why u play with your poo poo?? Yucky yucky..smelly"....sigh i know i know..not his fault..but hey...i was in shock lah...i mean you'd expect your son to show you "look Mummy, i'm playing with some toy in my hands"..NOT "look Mummy, i have a ball of my stinky poop in my hands and i love shaking it"....

Anyways...wiped him all over, and dragged him to the bathroom for a wash down...yucks..thinking about it still disgusting...

Let's hope no more of this in the future...we don't want to have playtime with poop as part of our activity..

By the way, not sure if this is better or worse..but apparently Er-Yi ate cockroach poop when she was young...eeeewwwwwwwwwww....

Toothless No More

This is so so exciting! Gabe has his 1st tooth coming out...on the top right hand. And i can see a small bit coming out on the top left....

Whoot, whoot......Daddy discovered it this morning when playing with Gabe..i told him it's probably just the cheese bread since Gabe tends to store many food in his small mouth...

But well, it's real..here it is...

He hasn't been really fussy much, but i've noticed he's been gnawing on his fingers more than usual, n his body did seem warm past 2 days. Other than that, he's doing Ok with it.

I'm especially excited coz we've been waiting n waiting so long for this moment...15 months...abit wee late, but well, better late than never!! Hopefully he'll be able to chew more types of food now??

Remember i said i have a surprise for Gabe? Yup, we went to buy them today....but first, an update on daycare..He is doing really really well there. He hardly cries much anymore, except when we drop him. And it's only like for few minutes. And best of all, he finishes all his lunch now!! And today, the teacher has told me to give him more lumpy food and they will mix it with pureed ones coz his chewing seems to have improved leaps, so it's time to upgrade and see....yay baby!! What a good boy.

Ok, now for the surprise pressies...

Taaaaaa Dahhhhh!!!!!!!!

Yuppies, all things Mickey...got him 2 new DVDs coz quite frankly I'm getting sick of playing the same ones over n over...driving me crazy..

And, a Mickey Doll!! His new buddy....and a small Mickey phone strap...errr...which goes on MY phone...and kept him occupied too...

He kept looking at the Mickey bag on the way home and kept going "uh, uh" which means he knows what it it and he wants to see it....

He hasn't shown much interest in soft toys, so i'm curious to see how Mickey will fare with Gabe's affections...with other toys, he tends to just throw them aside if they're in his way.

We're gonna have a Mcikey good time....
