PreSchool Update

Yes, the kiddos are adjusting very well, even Lucas has warmed up and he`s now participating. No more cries during drop-offs. Only thing to work on, is that naughtiness.

Sagamiko Resort

I`ve been trying to find as many parks and open places as i can to bring the kiddos before we head back to Singapore for 2 months. So, last weekend we went to Sagamiko Resort about 1 hour plus away from Tokyo. HUge park mainly for camping, and a small amusement area for kids to play.

Weather was again perfect. Beautiful scenery high up. Lucas as usual, had heaps of fun sitting the rides and jus being outdoors. Gabe, on the other hand, whined at times coz he probably thinks the Ipad is much more fun. Anyway i dare say we will be back again next year to go camping in one of the gorgeous cabins there.

The only thing that irked me was that we stupidly didn`t stay for the supposedly gorgeous winter illumination. And, according to the husband: `Aiyah, all the same onelah, look nice on internet coz it`s photoshopped. In real it`s just normal everywhere same one`. What the.... So i suppose, dear hubby, an Alphard is an Alphard, why don`t you just charged the SAME price for a R Grade and a New one. After all, a car is jusr a car isn`t it???? Duh....blah

Oh yes, see Lucas eating? Those are the small fish full of calcium like our ikan bilis. Yup, Lucas just took them in his fingers and popped them into his mouth. And yes the food looks yummy, it tastes yummy.

Andersen Park@Funabashi

It has been raining and raining here, so any chance of good weather especially on the weekends, we`d quickly go to a lovely park or play area since the kids & us go crazy when we are all stuck at home. Somehow, they behave much better when they are having fun outdoors instead of trying to strangle each other at home.

One of these parks is Andersen PArk in Funabashi, about 1hour from our place. Huge park, just so lovely with the most awesome slide ever. Our backsides did sting after finishing the ride. Gabriel fell asleep awhile later and good riddance too coz he was being super whiny.

But Lucas, well Lucas wasn`t sleepy, the boy had tons of energy and he`s at the age where he want to explore. So i brought him round while Daddy took care of Gabe. We sat the bumper cars twice, walked and walked while he kept looking at those scary big crows. And coz i know him well, he should be pretty hungry by now and besides, it`s snack time at 3pm. So i asked him if he wanted some fries and he nodded vigorously. So we sat on the benches and lil rascal munched n munched away. Life`s fun being a kid.

Then, Daddy decided to join us and we just sat and played and waited till Gabe woke up. By then, it was darn chilly and round about time to go off. One of the best parks ever, definetely will be back.

October Cacth Up

We`ve been busy. Busy recovering from coughs, flu and fever. Yes, it`s going round and round our household, mostly starting and ending with Lucas. The boy, sigh, well let`s just say his immune system is really not too strong. And recently, he was diagnosed with Asthmatic Bronchitis. It all started with the cough which didn`t go away for 2.5 months. I had already brought him to our local ped a few times, but each time the doc would say it`s Ok, no congestion, until i just had it one day and headed to his birth hospital, Sanno. There the doctor immediately told me his diagnosis and Lucas had to use the nebuliser. Needless to say i was relieved that finally someone could tell me what was wrong. So i ended up buying the nebuliser and good thing coz few weeks later he had a bad cough again and needed it.

No idea what triggers this, but it could be an allergy, so I`m waiting till end week to see if he gets better, else we`ll have to do an allergy test.

But other than that, we`re all dandy here, the weather is superb now. The boys are having fun in school. Lucas is thriving there and seems to enjoy all the activities. Oh, he can say many words now, some well pronounced, some well, only i can understand.

Words Lucas can say:
Mo More = No More
More
Moo Moo (refers to his precious beheaded, turning black and disintegrating Moo Moo pillow) aka best friend
Four (he loves this number, i dunno why)
Five
Nine
Mine
Niiiii = Nice
Bye Bye
Dad Dad
Kor Kor
Ball
Bok = Bom (which means someone/something fell)
Cor = Corn (he love loves corn)
Pants
Hair
Head
Mose = Nose
Eaaaa = Ear
Jyache = Jacket
Ter = Water
Bowl
ManMan = Anpanman

Do you notice the many M words he can say? Yes, i noticed. And yet he can`t say Mama...whaaaat??? Ridiculous. Everytime i try to coax him, he just shakes his head...Grrrrrrrr And you know what, isn`t DadDad much much harder to say?? Unbelievable.

So anyway, we`ll end it with many pics taken over the past weeks, they boys happy and enjoying our beautiful weather.

And these are from the weekend`s trip to Tobu Zoo. I tell you what i love about Japan is that when the weather is cool n warm, it`s so much fun to visit all these kid friendly places where the kids just run around and do their monkey stuffs. The boys were thrilled, Lucas had so much energy after lunch he insisted on walking around and running. It was pure joy to see my boys so happy. I hate to stay in on weekends and to get out of Tokyo for the day is just too perfect.

We hope you all had fun too on the weekend!

Lucas does Time Out

At 1 year 7 months, Lucas is a handful. He is stubborn, demanding, cheeky, fierce and a bully. Yes he often bullies Gabriel and if i do happen to see it he gets a sound smacking from me. Usually, he likes to push Gabriel or gives a whack on Ganriel`s head when he walks past Gabriel. Mostly Gabriel just cries, but on the rare occassion Gabriel feels the need to retaliate, he will bite or whack Lucas back.

So, yesterday after they were back from school, i gave them each their afternoon snacks and told them to sit at their table. Suddenly, Lucas just gets up and walks over to Gabriel`s side and pours out all the snack from Gabriel`s bowl. I scolded and smacked his hands. THEN, the lil boy had the cheek to do it AGAIN. This time, i took away his snacks and told him to stand in the corner. This is our first time doing the NAughty Corner. He knew i was very angry by now, so while crying he walked over to the corner. Then, while i was talking to Gabe, i looked again, and well, yes he was technically still at the corner, but well, doing a different version of the time out.

I dunno people, i think this guy needs a good explaination on how Time Out is supposed to be done?????

Guam 2015 Summer

I love islands, beach, sand, sun. My fave place to be and this year during the school Summer Holidays, we headed to beautiful Guam. It`s only a 3.5 hours flight away from Tokyo, so, no surprise, when we reached there the immigration was full packed with Japanese tourists. There was a long queue so by the time we got out of customs it was already 4pm plus and after we got our rental car, we headed off to our hotel.

I booked the Outrigger Guam Resort for us and we weren`t disappointed when we got there. Our hotel was located right smack in the middle of the Guam shopping street and right on the beach. Couldn`t ask for more. And it`s connected to Hard Rock Cafe. Our room as an Ocean View Deluxe room with 2 queen beds and i chose this hotel because it was one of the few that offered a big enough bed for 2 adults and 2 kids without having to roll ontop of one another. Big room, great view.

Coz it was already evening, we didn`t have time to play at the beach or pool, so instead we headed off to dinner and then just rested. Oh yes..the TV shows...oh man how i`ve missed those English reality shows....so much fun.

The beach...what can i say, as pictures will speak for itself. Too beautiful and there`s like probably 400m of shallow clear water to play in and safe for kids because it`s so calm. And that`s why it`s so so family friendly. Gabriel had so much fun playin with both sand & water. Unfortunately his little brother Lucas disagreed on the sand part. Lucas basically refused to touch the sand or have anything to do with it. He wouldn`t put his feet down no matter what and would just scream n scream if i tried to even let him go. So i had to carry him both on land & in the water.

In the following pics, here is Lucas being extra careful neither his hands nor feet touch the sand...notice his hands n feet

And here`s a rare shot of me

Of course, the kiddos had fun fooling around as usual, and on the last night did not allow us to have dinner until they were fully satusfied running around in the lobby. I fell sick by the 4th day and couldn`t care less so long as they didn`t break any valuable stuffs. Of course, being that there were so many Japanese there, we got the frequent `Looks` from them. They probably thought what kind of parents we were letting our kids roam like monkeys.

Here`s Gabe playing with Sand

And here are the rascals jus foolin around

And here they are dancing around like loonies

Ahhh....sorry 2 more photos of ME

It was a funtastic 5 days there and i think I`ll be back next year. It`s too wonderful there not to.
