Post op Pics

Visited Gabe this morning, still sedated, but oxy support lowered and they will try to take him off venti today or tomorrow depending on whether his support can be lowered further and he maintains his saturation. we're hoping soon so that he can be transferred out to general ward soonest and i can be with him there.

Kind nurse took some photos of the 3 of us, not too clear, but will have to do for now. The others i took this morning. When we say him last night at 7.30pm, he was on light sedation only, so he could hear us!! I sang some songs to him and nurse said he knows i am there coz his oxy levels went down and his little body kept moving alot;) so so happy..

You're well on your way to recovery baby, just abit more, stay strong yah...i love u sooooo much...

  1. So happy to hear that Gabe is progressing well. I am sure he likes to hear mummy's singing. He would like it if he hears grandpa and grandma singing also. Well Gabe don't worry, we will sing to you during your first birthday.

BTW did the nurse comb his hair down? More "sze wen" looking but previous hairstyle is unique.

Gabe, continue to be strong and brave. Grandpa loves you very much.

  2. Hi Dad,

Yah nurse washed his hair so i tink she combed it down...err but i was touching his hair n it seems very dirty still so i tink they didnt entirely wash shampoo out so its a bit tacky now, which is why it can be combed down..

yah i like his usual hairstyle..

  4. Hi Mummy...he was lightly sedated so means he could hear us n very slightly awake though he may not be conscious of it...and could tell also coz body moving about slightly...but cant take him off totally otherwise tube will hurt him..so at night when sleep time they put heavier sedatives.

Yes GOD is good and gracious indeed...only hope now he gets off the venti soon

  5. The only thing I didn't like about this recent extra long weekend (Sat-Tues) was that I couldn't find out how Gabe was doing, until now. So glad that he's done it again, fought a good battle and seems to be well on his way to recovery. I'm also glad for you both, Michelle and Terry; you must have been in agony earlier. Love and hugs to all of you. Big kiss for baby Gabe.
