Gabe had a really fun time with his grandparents and i think they bonded pretty well. Thankfully he didn`t fuss much when they carried him. In fact, now when i ask Gabe where is Grandpa, he says `pa` as in shortform for Grandpa and shakes his head and does the `dun have` hand action. Unfortunately, saying Grandma n MaMa is harder:(( We will upload the photos next round.
But before leaving, Grandpa n Grandma left Gabe with a very generous ang pow. So, we decided to get Gabe a few essential items he needed:
1) A small table and chair set as he needs to practice bending his knees to sit down and strengthen them too
2) A pair of shoes
3) Custom made soles
We got the table n chair set from Babies R Us. Didn`t have much choice for the table. Either Hello Kitty or this horse picture table or the elephant one. No brainer...elephant it is. The chair, again, no brainer since he`s so familiar with Mickey Mouse. Such a pretty set huh? And he loves it. He`ll throw away every item on the table and climb the chair...pretty sure he`s gonna have a fall one day soon.
Next, his therapist mentioned that Gabe needs to wear a custom made shoe sole for extra support. Reason being, when he stands, his feet tends to roll inwards, so it`s hard for him to balance. Thus, we need to get him a pair of high cut shoes and then get the custom made soles made. Umm, the Puma shoes are a treat coz Daddy has the same one so we thought it`ll be cool for them both to wear the same ones.
And then, all the way from Australia, Gabe received a singing, dancing, clapping doggy doll...from San Bo Mu...thank you so so much...Gabe really finds the doll amusing and likes to push it down n hear it say `oopsie`....
This boy has too many stuffs..think we`ll need to donate some....then buy new ones!!
