Poor Baby

Gabe has just gone for his doc check up, all is well n dandy. Gabe is now 5.185kg and 62cm long...growq baby grow....Dr H is very pleased with his weight gain so far..yay!!!

But poor Gabe had to take his RS virus jab, screamed his lungs out...Then today it was another 3 more jabs at anotther docs place. My poor boy, cried n cried till he was so tired in the eveniing, fell asleep early n really fast (like 5 mins of rocking)...

And.....we're coming home!!! Nov 25th touchdown in KL then after a few days we're off to Singapore for 2 months, so so happy!! Run from the dreadful winter in Dec n Jan. Perhaps Xiao Yi can bring Gabe go swimming???????

Gabe can't wait to see Wayne Kor Kor....

By the way, Gabe is now a full fledged "grabber". He grabs at his hanging toys so hard and violently that i am afraid somehow they will just break n drop on him..good boy Gabe

Ice Cream Day

Yeah!!Ice cream day!! It's been so long since i had any so i guess doesn't hurt to have some, it'll just take me another few more months to get rid of that extra kg.

We went to Yokohama area shopping centre to get Gabe's play mat so he can do more Tummy Time. After that headed to Cat's Cafe for the lovely ice cream. Gabe was a bit fussy, so Daddy had to take care of him while Mummy gulped down hers...

Touch Touch

As you know, DS kids very often have developmental delays and in Gabe's case, it is quite obvious especially his neck muscle. To date he's still unable to lift his head high and long while on tummy. We need to practice more huh baby...

BUT, he has started to grab at stuffs and we are so happy. To us this is major milestone. Actually i htink every milestone will be precious to us..

He's learnt to grab at his toys especially Mr Monkey. And while at his play station the other day, i saw how he would smack at the hanging toys and watch them swing then out of nowhere, he'd strike out and grab donkey. Now i know it's not a fluke thingy. I'm so happy.

We'll get there baby, we'll get there ...

My Ray of Sunshine

It's chilly here guys..can't imagine horrid winter will be here real soon. Bathing will be a horror, just going out i think will be a pain the arse with all the layering. But there's this lil guy who warms my heart everytime he smiles. Gabe's just this really happy lil smiley baby. every morning, no matter how angry i am with him in the night. he never fails to warm my heart with his cooing and sweet smiles.

I can't imagine a day without looking at him. He's my sunshine:)

Nothing But Randomness

Hey All, i know it's been ages since i posted, but things have been haywire here. The lil guy's sleep patterns have been haywire since we got back from Malaysia. He's like waking up 3-4 times in the night. Have no idea, even after a whopping 140ml feed, he wakes 3 hours later!! Unbelieveable. Plus it's been stressful past week and will be so till next week i believe.

So decided to post mainly lots of photos of the lil guy. Winter is fast approaching here in Tokyo with temps down to 13degrees at night, but Gabe will be happy bout that coz he hates hot and gets all grouchy when he sweats and heats up. Anyways, enjoy these pics

Ohhh, it's getting cold here

It's getting cold here in Tokyo. Past week temps have been a low of 15, high of 28. Nice weather to sleep. I've bought Gabe some jackets and pants from Old Navy. Will update photos as and when he starts wearing them one by one:)

Here's his first fashion show off, his Old Navy Turtle hoodie, material really comfy, suitable for autumn, good to last till Nov before temps drop further.

And we had to take his photo again to get his emergency cert out for him to return to Malaysia as his passport wasn't ready yet...







P/s: the long break from blogging was due to me being too busy, tired and stressed. the lil boy is draining my energy due to his refusal to sleep in the afternoons and frequent wakes in the night..

I Got a Panda Sticker..

Gabe went for his check up today, everyhting looks good, especially his weight..he's now at 4kg, so Dr Hayashi says looking good..

However, he did say that as Gabe grows, the shunt as it is artificial will not. Therefore, it may cause his cyanosis to worsen. For example if he cries too hard, he may turn a lil blue at times. But it should be ok when he calms back down. If it doesn't, then we'll have to bring him to hospital and they will need to insert another shunt. Because he is simply too small to close his hole in heart & repair the pulmonary artery valve as well. They need him to be at least 8-10kg to do that.

However, Dr H says everything looks good and we shouldn't need to worry about that now. Ok so basically, after hearing that for me that means not letting Gabe cry too hard and long, so the boy is gonna be a spoilt brat..sigh...

He also took a jab today as winter is fast approaching and we want to prevent Gabe from catching any cold viruses. Poor boy cried hard, but just for awhile...for his bravery, he got a pretty lil panda sticker..check it out...and he's wearing new clothes too..isn't he cute....
