Lucas Sits

At 6.5 months, Lucas can finally sit by himself. He can do it without hands support too, while playing with toys...yay!! Now just waiting for him to be able to crawl n wonder around by himself so he doesn{t scream everytime I leave him to do things.

Gabe`s 3rd Birthday Blast

This is a really belated post on Gabe`s birthday celebrations. One of the main reasons why i wanted to go back in May was to be able to have Gabe`s bday party there. Of course, the theme had to be Mickey. And good ol mummy me spent about a couple of hundreds of Singapore dollars for the deco..only to have Gabe scream his head off when he saw the balloons and the giant Mickey....yup, there goes Daddy`s money down the drain.

We had the party at Grandma`s home, and then headed off to Shangri-La Sentosa for a staycation, courtesy of Er-Yi & San Yi..Thank you so so much we had so much fun!!! This will probably be Gabe`s last bday party....next year onwards, it`ll just be a cake n that`s it...ahah

Lucas wants to be a Big Boy

At 6 months, i`ve started Lucas on solids. At first i thought that since maybe he doesn`t really drink much milk, maybe he`d prefer solids and would LOVE it...how wrong i was...he hates cereal and anything pureed...i tried this many times, and once the spoon was near his mouth, he refuses to open. So i have to wait n wait, and put the spoon into his mouth and he`d make that yucky face...and shudder...so i thought maybe it`s the cereal..i tried pureed pumpkin and fruits...same reaction, he refuses to budge....sigh...

And believe me he is interested in foods, he tries to snatch things that i eat and stares at Gabe`s snacks when he`s eating them. So, few days ago, i tried to give him banana, this time i just cut it into small itsy bits...yup, he opens his mouth to eat it off the spoon...and i tried with peaches...yup, he opens his mouth...so, well i guess he wants to be a Big Boy..no mushy stuffs for this young man.he`s ready for the good food..

Which is why i probably will start him on real solids the Baby Led Weaning (BLW) way..where we offer them veggies and fruits all in pieces that they can hold and suck/eat. And they sort of do it on their own with their hands, no spoons or feeding them. I`ve done some research and it is becoming really popular and there are good reasons to start baby off this way. So we`re gonna start when he turns 7 months just so he`s more capable of holding and biting with gums.

Settling back in Tokyo

It‘s been a long long while...we have been super busy here after coming back from Singapore. Unpacking, cleaning, settling down....we`re finally sorta OK now...everything is back to the usual, by that I mean whining, screaming, tears, tantrums and more screaming. Yup, life`s peachy here.

First off, Lucas is doing well, he is drinking a reasonable amount and not fussing much, so i hope the medication continues to work well for him. I tried to wean him off it, but the effects were quite immediate with him puking and not wanting to drink again, so I`ve put him back on the 3 times daily dose.

Gabriel on the other hand has already started school everyday and enjoying it. And of course, yes he is still naughty and whiny, still loving his Mickey mouse time and snacks.

We had such a good time in Singapore, we`re missing it much. But home here in Tokyo is good too...The weather is really really hot here, and it`s torture for Lucas & I to go pick Gabe up from school every afternoon.

So with everything finally back to normal, hopefully i find the strength and time to blog a little to update you all...till my next post..Ta!!
